Town Treasurer

The Town Treasurer is an elected position and is responsible for maintaining the General Fund Checking Account together with the custody, deposit and disbursement of town funds. With very few exceptions, monies are only paid out upon the orders of the Selectmen. The Treasurer is also responsible for the short-term investment and borrowing of funds. The reconciliation of these accounts is under their control.
